Samuels Foundation, The Scherman Foundation, the Peter Jay Sharp Foundation, The Shubert Foundation, as well as the NYTW Board of Trustees, and The Society of Repeat Defenders.

New York Theatre Workshop’s signature Artist Development Activities, which include our Usual Suspects program for affiliated artists, two play development reading series, short and long-term residencies for individual artists and small theatre companies, and our Emerging Artists of Color Fellowship Program, are supported by the Asian Cultural Council, the Dramatists’ Guild Fund, the John Golden Fund, the Japan Foundation and Performing Arts Japan, the Jerome Foundation, the Adolph and Ruth Schnurmacher Foundation, and Select Equity Group Foundation. In addition, through generous in-kind support, Amtrak assists New York Theatre Workshop with the cost of facilitating a Summer Residency program for new play development at Dartmouth College.

Our Education Initiatives are made possible through the generous encouragement of Con Edison, the Pierre and Tana Matisse Foundation, the Michael Tuch Foundation, the Manhattan Borough President’s Office, the Office of Council Member Margaret Chin and the New York State Council for the Arts-Empire State Partnership.
